Little confused, please help. 2004-03-11 - By stefan - muchos.co.uk
Back main.asc: goes onto the FCS machine inside /applications/[appname]
index.htm and swf can go wherever you like as long as you allow the server that serves your swf and htm to connect to FCS. The out of the box configuration of FCS will allow you to connect from anywhere.
your rtmp string must then always be rtmp://yourFCSserverIP/appname and NOT frtmp:/appname as this will only work locally.
Think of FCS acting like a database server: your scripts can use the database server from anywhere but they must have permission to do so. DB server might use a username and password, FCS uses domain authentication and other stuff can be added.
