Set a flag when you set the focus in the code, then test for that flag?
Or conversely check for a keypress/mouseclick using a similar
process....
The first options probably your best bet - easier to manage state.

How can I differentiate between onSetFocus events that originate
directly
from the user (i.e. clicking on an input textfield) and those
originating
from code in the program (i.e. setting the focus using
Selection.setFocus())?
