Yes player can already grab from some video cards,

problem is when you process stream by player is cpu heavy,

player can get web cams and video cards maybe you can make him believe
your reprocessed stream is device, video card or camtasia screen recorder?

getting source from card straight to server
would be really good news?

Oggetto: [FlashComm] Digital Rapids board

We received a Digital Rapids DRC-2500 (See http://DRC-2500.ora-code.com) card this morning. The software
allows you to broadcast a live FLV stream over the user-specified port,
but no where does it say "Publish this stream to FlashComm Server."

We're working with Digital Rapids to make their software do this, so WE
need to know what it takes to publish a live stream from an application
most likely built in VB or C++.  We've had experience in the past
writing encoder applications for Windows Media, so the process is not
foreign.

Where to start when trying to publish to FCS?  If we can't publish
direct to the server, is there a way for Flash player to grab that
encoded FLV stream, and then send it to FCS?

TIA,

Randy Tinfow
