Sorenson has licensed their Spark encoding engine to Digital Rapids.
This means hardware assisted live Flash Video encoding. If this
provides as substantial an improvement in live encoding as I expect, the
use of FCS will skyrocket.
We'll have the first board on Monday and be testing all week. Will post
our conclusions.
