Jesse,

thanks, I'll try those tips when I get a chance later (too busy on a
different PC right now).

I'm using ffmpeg to make the FLVs.

Mike

There is no import dialogue when importing existing FLV movies.  If you
import any other video type, you should get the dialogue.

I believe there is an option in the import dialogue to match Flash
framerate.  That may or may not solve your problem.  If not, you could
possibly import the audio seperately, place on a layer above the video,
and
set to stream.  Failing that, put the video in a graphic sybmol, and
then
make the graphic symbol "play once", and see how that works.

What in tarnation is creating those FLV files for you?

If you do a test movie, and then show the bandwidth profilier (Control
+ B),
and then do a test streaming, (or just control + Enter a 2nd time), you
should see a green bar moving right.  This bar indicates how much of
the
file has downloaded.  Flash will make it's best guess based on the
bandwidth
speed, and play it when enough is downloaded.

I have a few flash video (.flv) files to import into separate movies.
When I import, I don't get the normal video import dialogue, but just
the
"This movie has x frames..." dialogue.  The flv imports fine, but, if I
don't match the framerate of the flash movie to that of the .flv
afterward,
the audio and video don't synch.  Is there better way to import flv
files?

While I'm here, is there a "play media when available" or other option
to
tell flash player to play the video as soon as it has enough in the
buffer
to play smoothly?  I'd like to pseudo-stream these clips, even though
they're short.

Thanks,
Mike
