Back I am sure that this has been discussed before, but I figured out a nasty bugger that has been giving me trouble for a while. I had some objects in my own classes acting as listeners to the Key class. I would delete the movieclip that contained the class, but, of course, the listener still existed as far as the Key was concerned. Even removeListener did not do the trick, so I explicitly set the reference to the object in the Key._listeners to null.
