  | | | Actionscript 2 Lexer or SAX Parser? | Actionscript 2 Lexer or SAX Parser? 2004-02-26 - By Jim Cheng
Back Has anyone seen/written an open-source SAX parser or a generic lexer or lexer generator (along the lines of Unix's lex) for Actionscript 2 or another ECMAScript 4 language (e.g. JScript.NET)?
I know there are open-source SAX parsers written using ECMAScript 3 such as David Joham and Scott Severtson's implementation in XML for <SCRIPT>, but I'd rather reuse an existing open-source AS2 SAX parser if one already exists rather than porting a ECMAScript 3 parser myself.
Referrals to an open-source generic tokenizer or lexer generator coded in ECMAScript 3 or 4 (e.g. Actionscript 1 or 2, Javascript, or JScript.NET) would also be very much appreciated if anyone knows of one.
Thanks, Jim
