Hi Stefan,
You don't want to join that club. First you would have to promise never
to say a bad thing about flogger ever again - not even in your will ?
not ever! Worse, before every club meeting you would have to take a big
fat ominous looking NDA pill. Now those pills are known to have certain
undesirable side effects. For example imagine you are at a user's group
meeting and someone asks you what you think Macromedia will do in the
future. If you even think about telling someone something you know from
a club meeting you will get desperately ill. Everyone will think you
have a problem holding your booze or food or whatever. Except the people
at Macromedia who will know it?s just the NDA pills. So do yourself a
favor and stay away from those types of exclusive clubs...
More seriously, Microsoft's approach of releasing information about
Longhorn two years in advance is an interesting one. It focuses
attention on them to the detriment of other people?s products that are
available today and allows people to prepare for new technologies well
in advance.

Cheers,

-Brian
