hehe I think this one came up before, what they mean by <fcs_install_dir> is
the actual location og your FCS installation, for example
C:/programs/macromedia/fcs

So you'll need to substitute it for that ;-)
Oh and by the way this seems to work just as well if you simply drag and
drop it, don't see why you need to do it via the command line.

 Subject: [FlashComm] FCS Update Docs

 Quick question,

The Update docs for FCS 1.5 include the following:

Open a DOS window ( Start->Run->Enter "cmd" into the edit field ->Click
OK)
Change directory to <fcs_install_dir> (Flash Communication Server MX 1.5
Install directory):
         cd <fcs_install_dir>
 Create directory fcs_1_5_backup:
         mkdir fcs_1_5_backup
 Backup components and binaries:
     xcopy scriptlib fcs_1_5_backup\scriptlib /s /i
     xcopy *.exe fcs_1_5_backup
     xcopy *.dll fcs_1_5_backup
     xcopy modules fcs_1_5_backup\modules /s /i

The problem lies in the line

 cd <fcs_install_dir>

I get a syntax error and if I use,

 cd fcs_install_dir

I get a "Not found" error.

Anyone know what's missing here? [By the way, this is simply porting
everything from the old computer to the new one.]

 TIA,
 Bill
