_global functions are really _globals?

_global functions are really _globals?

Hi all:

I have a movie (engine.swf) made in Flash MX 2004 with a global function as:

_global.takeColor = function(eColor){
.
.
.
}

That function is in the _root level of engine.swf.

On the other hand I have thousands of SWFs (pageXX.swf) made in Flash MX.
Those pageXX.swf call takeColor functions as:

myColor = takeColor( "textoResaltado ");

My big problems is than SWFs pageXX.swf "not locate " the _global.takeColor()
function.

There are some knew case in which a _global function in level0 can not be
recognized for others swf loaded in higher levels?

Thanks, Roberto.
