Strange Remoting Question

Strange Remoting Question

Hello,

This is my first post here, I have strange question.

We are working on a Flash to CF MX remoting application and when we attach
to the CF MX server over the internet via remoting from with in the flash
development environment it attaches and does it's thing just fine.  However
when we embed the SWF on the CF MX server that we are calling, and then load
up the web page, it does not work.  The connection or call fails.  The CF MX
server is behind a firewall and when we call it from the dev IDE, we are
outside of that firewall, but my understanding is that when we load up the
SWF page that the SWF would be also calling it from outside of the firewall
too right?  I can call http://domainname.com/flashservices/gateway from
outside the firewall just fine, however if I take that exact same URL and
call it from the CF MX machine inside the firewall it comes back with a page
not found.  Does the Firewall have anything to do with the embedded SWF not
being able to connect due to the fact that the embedded SWF is being called
from and lives on the same machine behind the firewall?

Thanks, sorry about the off topic, but this is supposed to be live on
Monday...  :S

Bill K.
