  | | | bug in 2004 audio conference component? (HELP!) | bug in 2004 audio conference component? (HELP!) 2004-02-19 - By Carlos Olguin
Back Hi, does anybody know about known bugs in the 2004 audio conference component. We had 60 people connected to an application using this component where 5 of them were only speaking but not all at the same time. The audio was terrible. It was great in short bursts but then it would break miserably for up to 3 seconds. This would happen constantly.
Somebody at our hosting provider mentioned that he knows there is a bug in the 2004 audio conference component where *full* ownership of the mic is taken by one of the speakers even if they haven't checked the auto checkbox (which nobody did). The audio for everybody else would then be interrupted at times. We learned about this until the event was over. I am going to try to reproduce this behavior, however, I wanted to know if anybody knows anything about it. We did test before with the 2004 audio conference component but never with 60 people (that was our mistake). All the other components are 2004 as well. No MX components are used at all. We were suggested by this same person from uvault (our hosting provider) to go back to MX components. I hope we don't need to do that. Any help is greatly appreciated
