Certainly, just use the stand-alone Flash Player. If you 've
got the standard Flash MX 2004 installation, you should find
the release versions at:

C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash MX 2004\Players\Release

Then execute:

SAFlashPlayer.exe http://www.the.server.com/movie.swf
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Replacing the highlighted text with your URL(s).

You might also want to grab the updated Flash Players for
Flash MX 2004 if you haven 't already off the Macromedia site.
There 's been some minor bug fixes and improvements in the
more recent point releases of the players.

The only things I 'd keep an eye out for is handling resize
(since the SWFs aren 't constrained by HTML <OBJECT > elements)
and whether the older machines can maintain frame rate for
whatever it is you 're doing. As usual, test before release.
