I did a little bit of research as to why the chattyfig lists are slow.
Apparently this last round of attack/accuse/demand/freak-out stuff between
list members resulted in the Department of Homeland Security needing to
step in and carefully scour all our postings before allowing them to go
back out to the list members.
Something about Osama Bin Laden possibly hiding inside the actual bytes and
bits of data streaming through our particular list or something.....
