MOVIE CLIP DOES NOT STOP PLAYING....

MOVIE CLIP DOES NOT STOP PLAYING....

I have a play, stop, rewind and pause buttons on my main timeline. I also
have a movie clip in the 5th frame.
When I click the stop button, it does not stop until the movie clip is
completed.

The stop method is on the "stop" button
 on(release){
    stop();
    stopAllSounds();
  }

Is this a problem or am I not implementing it correctly. Any clue to what is
causing this behavior.

Thanks.
