MX2004 Component issues:
I have been using MX2004 components and have been facing some problems
consistently and have not found a way to overcome these.
1. The components dont work if we place them in any frame other then
frame-1.
2. Even if we place them inside a movie clip and move that movie clip to a
frame other then frame-1, they dont work.
3. I applied the update available from the macromedia website and after that
software started behaving weirdly, it gave me errors inside a output window
on lauch and some of the components didnt work while exporting.
So i reinstalled the software again, without the update.
All this restricts me to design very flat, static designs. Also if I have to
have multiple screens like, Login screen and when login is successful, i
show the profile of the person, these kind of things i have to do with
making the movieclips visible and invisible, which i think is a very bad
solution. But there is no other way I can achieve this if i want to use
MX2004 components.
I know you would say use Forms, but that too is not a gr8 solution because
it takes ages to publish and file size and performance time also increases
I can not have tweenings, animations, frame transitions etc.
Were the MX2004 components designed keeping the designers out of the
picture?
::::: Just wondering :::::
