I'm going nutsoid on getting a removemovieclip function to actually work right. I've tried changing level references but to no avail.
To do this you'll need the SWF and FLA (see link info).
I'm loading a movieclip (txtfield) and that clip loads external data. Going to another page that calls that same clip, even after a removemovieclip function on the navigation button, still loads the previous data the first time you go to a next page. IF you go to that same new page a 2nd time, the CORRECT data loads!
If you can help me resolve this I'll gladly send you a check for $50!!!!
Here's the swf: http://www.brionanet.com/firstavenue/sites/nickcorp For the FLA: Scroll below the SWF and do a SAVE TARGET AS on the FLA link.
Here's the frames and stuff that I'm dealing with:
From the home page, click on ABOUT This goes to frame - the ActionScript is on the top layer of the timeline
Then go to the COMPANY CONTACTS page and click on CORP EMAIL ADDRESSES (Actionscript is on frame 1027)
or DRIVING DIRECTIONS where the AS to load the data is on frame 1040
The BUTTONS that I've done the removemovieclip on are on the NAV2 row of the timeline, (ABOUT, COMPANY CONTACTS, HOME)
frame 926 is where they are grouped together and I've got each Actionscripted for the removemovieclip
The txtfield movieclip is in the library of course (there are other text symbols so look for txtfield - it's the last item in the library
