This is a full time, on-site, contract (paid hourly) position for at
least 6 months.
Applicants MUST reside within commutable distance to Los Angeles, CA.
90025.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Implement Flash-based user interface prototypes and products for
mobile devices
* Architect and build re-usable ActionScript components and tools to
enable prototyping
* Write well-documented, reusable, scalable, and maintainable code
* Integrate Flash user interfaces with data / web services
* Design and implement techniques to minimize UI latency
* Create fast, efficient, and exciting animations and transitions using
ActionScript
* Work with designers to create visually compelling user interfaces
Required Qualifications:
* More than 3 years of software development experience
* Hands-on experience with Flash Lite 1.1 and/or 2.0 on a variety of
mobile devices is highly desirable
* Macromedia Flash Lite, Flash 7, Flash 8
* ActionScript 1.0, 2.0 and/or 3.0
* Working knowledge of HTML/XHTML, XML, RSS, AJAX
* Working knowledge of OO concepts, programming languages such as C,
PHP, JSP, JavaScript, Java, and working knowledge of databases such as
MySQL is desirable
* Knowledge of user-centered UI design, human factors, human-computer
interaction, usability
* Understanding of telecommunication processes and operations
* Familiarity with video on demand, music on demand, media streaming,
and DRM
* Experience with optimizing design for varying bandwidth and platform
requirements
* Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
* Familiarity with mobile device operating systems (Symbian, Windows
Mobile, and Linux) is highly desired
