Carrara service updates require "Platinum " membership?

I just bought the update from Carrara 4 Pro to Carrara 5 Pro last week (during
the special
pricing).  I just went to the Daz3D site to download the "Universal Binary"
version of 5.1 and it
won't let me.  Apparently you need to have a "Platinum" membership to get the
update.  Huh?  
WTF!  If this is the case, this would be a -very bad- thing for Carrara users!
