Hi Gwen,
I own quite a few DAZ models myself, mostly of the animal kind, and of
course the free Victoria and Michael. Until now, I have done only still
images too, mixing bought models with my own paltry piles of polygons.

Frequently, the focus is on Carrara as a modeler, and the other tools are
left unsung. The Shading room is likely the best example. I am certain not a
single one of us has fully explored shaders. And the lighting settings are a
mystery to many others. Good for you for jumping into an area not so many
others have.

[snip]

It's people like me who help fill the coffers at Daz on a weekly
basis. Isn't it smart to keep a company that owns the software you
like in business? Isn't it smart for them to promote what they are
best known for?

I spent most of yesterday setting up lace shaders, because I like
doing my own textures. Carrara is a multi-capable program on many
levels. Eventually I hope to learn all of it, but I've started in
the area most familiar to me.

I thought people here were willing to help all users, not just the
ones that had modeling questions. What an insult it must have been
to you for me to ask about certain lighting effects to render a
still image.
