uvmap export

uvmap export

I have created a couple dice, and unfolded and split the various surfaces ( the
numerical dimples ). I would appreciate some assistance for exporting the
texture map,
etc.. I have exported the map; using the "camera" icon at the bottom of the
window. I have
then opened the file in a painting program ( Photoshop and Painter ). I have
applied
different colors to the cubes surfaces and the dimples. I have exported the
form as a
Wavefront object, and imported it into Carrara 5 Pro. I thought I would be able
to just
apply the 'painted" tiff file as a texture map. First problem I encounter is:
when I
import the form into Carrara is, I get a Hot Point indicator, the size
indicators for the form
is in severe negative numbers; and even after changing those characters I don't
have a
visible form.
I've also tried several other export formats; to no avail.

What is it that I'm missing, or doing wrong?
