I fully agree with Deb and hope Bob.S fully appreciates how many people on
this list rely on the email abilities that web forums usually do not
provide...including not having to rely on internet access in real time to
read emails from the list....yet read when convenient like on a plane or
train.
This topic has been raised every time a change has been proposed and every
time many/most? users agree that "pushed out" emails are popular...that is
one reason why email lists have succeeded...as well as ability to go on-line
if desired...best of both worlds.

That would be useful. I tend to like having things coming to me via
email, rather than forum, simply because it's easier to remember its
existence.
