found it.
there was a tutorial I did a long while back with Amapi 5

the screen is visually ok, not necessarily 'anatomically' correct. The idea is to throw the triangle section along the spiral in a sweep around the main cylinder.
There's a good chance you can do the same with Hexagon.
In fact, one commentary I had from a top Modo user who also has tried Hexagon is that he liked the line related tools in hex.
