It's so much more fun to try and dabble with things than to update the
webpage to share it  too ;-)

I'm discovering the animated Perlin noise fx filter and applying it
through an alpha gradient, e.g. to make it look like this guy is
walking over noisy water or hot coals and hell's ashes. Amazing what
one can do with colormap gradients and a few filters.

I was going to suggest that you can use the free version from
www.thebest3d.com/dogwaffle/free but I just remembered that the
timeline editor and its snowfall filter (and other animated
filters)are not in the freeware version, sorry. The lowest cost
version that has the snowfall and other filters in the timeline tool
is v2.1 at $59. I know, that still can be an issue.
