Education copies are not eligible for upgrades. From time to time, we run
programs enabling individuals who own Carrara education licenses to purchase
a commercial license at a discount. Typically, this savings is about 20-25%
off the list price.
However, right now we are running a Companion Upgrade promotion which
enables an individual who owns a piece of Eovia software, a competitive 3D
software, or any 2D graphics software to purchase Carrara 4 Pro for $399 or
Carrara 4 Standard for $199. In both cases, that purchase would make the
purchaser eligible for a no-charge upgrade to Carrara 5 provided they follow
the directions provided on the promotion page. This promotion would provide
a better price and more savings than typically provided in the
"education-to-commercial" promotion.

I have a question that may have already been answered but here it goes: I
have the educational version of Carrara 4 Pro and am thinking of getting the
commercial version of Carrara 5 or Carrara 5 Pro. Do I qualify for any
discount or upgrade? Thank you.
