Q. Is Carrara 5 available today?
A. No, Carrara 5 is not available today. Rather, Eovia is now accepting
pre-orders of the upgrade to Carrara 5.
Q. If I pre-order the Carrara 5 upgrade, what do I get?
A. If you pre-order the Carrara 5 upgrade, you will be able to immediately
download the Carrara 5 Beta.
Q. Why can't I pre-order a boxed version of Carrara 5?
A. The pre-order of Carrara 5 is not specific to an electronic download
(ESD) or boxed version. Rather, it is simply a pre-order of the software.
You will be asked to determine whether you want an ESD or boxed version at a
later date.
Q. How do I tell you that I want a boxed version of Carrara 5?
A. When Carrara 5 becomes available, everyone that pre-orders the software
will automatically be sent an email to the address provided at the time of
their pre-order. This email will provide instructions on the method for
obtaining either the ESD version or the boxed version of the software. If
you choose to receive a boxed version, you will need to fill out the
appropriate form providing Eovia with your shipping address and payment
method (Visa or MasterCard only) to cover the shipping costs.
Q. Does the boxed version of Carrara 5 cost more than the ESD version?
A. No. The boxed version and the ESD version are priced the same.
However, there will be additional shipping costs required if you choose to
receive a boxed version, and you will need to provide a credit card number
(Visa or MasterCard only) to cover these additional costs.
Q. Does the boxed version of Carrara 5 include a printed manual?
A. No. A printed manual will be available in mid-to late-December via the
Eovia webstore at an additional cost. That cost is anticipated to be around
$20 USD plus shipping fees. Both the ESD and boxed versions of the software
will ship with a PDF of the manual as a part of the install.
Q. Can I pre-order the printed manual?
A. No, Eovia is not accepting pre-orders for the printed manual.
Q. If I download the Carrara 5 Beta, will it overwrite Carrara 5 (or other
versions)?
A. No, the Carrara 5 Beta will install as stand-alone software and will
not affect the way older versions of Carrara run.
Q. Can I pre-order a full version of Carrara 5?
A. No, only the upgrade is available for pre-order.
Q. If I buy a full version of Carrara 4, can I get the Carrara 5 Beta?
A. No. The Carrara 5 Beta is only available as an electronic download to
those who pre-order the Carrara 5 upgrade.
Q. If I pre-order Carrara 5 can I get the Beta version sent to me on CD?
A. No. The Carrara 5 Beta is only available as an electronic download.
Q. When will I get Carrara 5?
A. We anticipate that the ESD version of Carrara 5 will be available by
mid-December. The boxed version will start shipping shortly after the ESD
version becomes available.
Q. I bought Carrara 4 in August. Can I get the no-charge upgrade?
A. Unfortunately no. The no-charge upgrade is available only to those who
purchase Carrara 4 between October 1 and December 31, 2005.
