I disagree. When I'm in the shader room for instance. I often build
new shaders one after another and at times I close out all the windows
before creating a new master shader. I can see your idea with the
modeling room, but I think it would make more sense to have the
modeling room just not exist but instead be intergrated within assembly.

Um. For me the current tab stays selected. Whether its the effects tab
etc. Are you refering to the position in the tab? Say for instance you
edit the x scale of object one and then switch to object two and the x
scale is still the selected part in said tab and you can adjust the
scale for the second object.
