That's actually not a bad idea - this is how the NLE's I use work.  
The thing that KILLS me is the fact that the spacebar (or other key)  
doesn't perform the play / stop function. I wonder if I can set  
something up using C5's key assignment window(?).

YES - I've noticed this too. Window controls of rendered animations  
are definitely quirky.

While we're at it, I have a few issues (they have been sent to Eovia)  
that are somewhat big for me:

- Command-period / escape key does not cancel a test render

- Animations won't play in the Assembly room until the mouse pointer  
is moved, after clicking the Play button

- Sometimes renders won't start until the mouse pointer is moved, in  
the Render room

- The "Show Production Frame" command won't work with the keyboard  
shortcut (command+optioin+F)

I think these *may* be Mac-only bugs, based on some of the feedback  
I've received. Hopefully these will be fixed. Otherwise, C5 has been  
fantastic - very happy with the new features.
