The boolean shader/renderer plug-in is the less advanced one. The
reason is that it deeptly interacts with the Carrara native renderers
and shaders. It is therefore quite complicated to have the effect work
in every situation (standard ray tracer, GI, etc). So far it works
well with ray traced scenes.

It is also limited to one type of "boolean" operation: the
substraction. But, it is probably the most useful one.

One of the key feature, in addition of the animation feature, is that
you can apply booleans to a group of object or even an entire scene
(no need to apply booleans to each object).

For instance, it works really well to create cutouts of complicated
CAD objects.
