Back Hi Ringo,
Thanks for that.
Re the viewport. I now remember that I would occasionally lose the camera. It would disappear into infoinity and I just couldn't get it back to the scene. Usually, I had to quit without saving, go back to the last save point and re-do whatever I'd lost. It was just an horrifically irritating occurance that didn't seem to have a consistent source. Clearly, it wasn't universal and probably of my own doing.
Most of the import formats would be .OBJ so if the options have broadened, that's great.
Now, this may be idiot question, but I'm intending to upgrade my screen to a 24in widescreen and then the current little horror as a second display to have all the commands on. I take it that C5Pro will allow dual displays.
Regarding rendering, I do like the look of the Ambient Occlusion render and the benefit it will give to fly throughs. I also like the look of the Replicator (every time I see that word I have a Stargate flashback...). From the publicity it looks as if it can replicate and object or goups of objects. Is that so? I have a personal project involving the recreation of 12th Century Canterbury and Paris. Replication would take away a lot of the hard work for non-essential objects.
Thanks,
Philip
