If you have a laptop with wifi, you can go to a free wifi hotspot for the
download (and have
a nice cup of coffee at the same time). Or it a friend has broadband access,
you can burn a
CD with the download. There are ways around the dial-up limitation.
But I feel your pain. I've been waiting for 5 years for DSL or cable to come in
my neck of
the woods.
