Back It sounds like there is some codec "noise" in your single-color movie file. If you haven't noticed this before, it is because (maybe) your codec is DV and looks very nice on people and real world, but doesn't look so clean on titles and graphics. A workaround might be to use a single color still image (like a tiff or PSD), or up the quality of your video codec.
If you can post the Carrera file maybe someone would know more.... I don't know how your image is "tiled", or how you have set up your scene in Carrara.
