I know this is OT, but I felt that getting some short feedback from
the group will help me get a sense if this is a real problem or not.
I was wondering if anyone has been noticing more pop-ups and
"pop-downs" (the ads that come up behind the browser) lately? [I use
Netscape primarily]. I used to not get them at all really
(Pop-blocker is on all of the time), but recently, after I installed
two recent Windows updates, I am noticing them more and more. :( And
it's usually the "pop-downs" that are occuring more often.
Is this just due to clever coding from some web designers or is this
something I should be taking more of a closer look into as regard to
browser vulnerability/protection issues?
Also, I have been noticing that my email has been hanging up when I
try to send messages. I end up having to use the "Send Later" option,
close the browser down, and then reopening it in order to send my
messages in my Unsent messages folder. Has anyone else experienced
this after recently updating their Windows OS?
In order to keep traffic down, if only those who are experiencing
these problems could briefly respond, I would appreciate it. :)
