You could compress the files to make them smaller. I know Nero BackitUp
allows you to compress the backup but I'm not sure about NeroExpress. I
purchased the upgrade some time ago.

WinZip 10.0 Pro, $49, allows you to create predefined data backups which can
be used as a full or incremental backup system allowing you to just backup
the new and changed files to the archive and set the archive flag. It also
has 2 new compression types which may give you better compression. I just
purchased the pro version yesterday so I haven't had time to check out all
the features yet but I will be testing them this week. I have every
confidence that it works given their superb history. You can look it up for
yourself at www.winzip.com <http://www.winzip.com/>  to determine if it will
work for you.

Now if I could just follow my own backup advice. ;)

Hi Turk,

My advice would be to purchase another hard drive and make back ups to
that daily.  Then, every month or two months, back-up to a DVD(s) and
store it at an off-site facility.  That seems to work for me and the
off-site storage is an extra measure of protection.

But for immediate relief, you could always purchase a 1.0 Gig USB
flash drive.  That should buy you more time to decide what to do in
general.  They are going for about $89 dollars, but there are cheaper,
smaller flash drives available as well.

Cheers.

we have files that you want what to save. However I'm running out of
space on the my current DVD-RW. I normal back up the files about every
week or daily. I'm using Nero Express 6 for my back-up.
