He's looking a lot, lot better. :-)

The shortcuts can help some at first, but it's developing a workflow pattern
that can make the program a real joy to use.

I think I learned the most about workflow doing this train project I am on
now, because there are a jillion parts of all different sizes, shapes and
methods of modeling from edge to line, surface and arc and VM modeling too.
My suggestion to anyone learning Hexagon is to keep your models simple until
you know the program inside and out and all of its nuances. We all have a
tendency to want to go after complex projects right away without first
learning and mastering the basics.

Just my .02

I looked into it a little closer and it appears that the tool stays in
"paint" mode regardless
of which little button I click. Maybe it's a Mac only bug.

I am glad I stuck with Hex after a grueling day. It's getting easier the
more I learn about
the tools and the shortcuts. For those of you still struggling with the
switch, the single
most helpful thing (besides this list) was printing a full keyboard-size
shortcut and taping
it on my desk just below the keyboard.

I posted some more in-progress images at http://studiodubois.com/hexagon/
