I expect it do select ALL the faces, edges or vertices (depending on tool) inside the rectangle (again like VM). Instead, it selects a few random faces. You can see some W shapes around the eyes. The 3rd dimension was out of whack. after I opened the eyes and aligned the points properly it worked better. More images will be posted soon to the same page.
