Back It's been a long day fighting Hex. I almost threw in the towel and switched to Carrara, but I stuck with it and got some results. It's frustrating that some things that are so easy in VM seem impossible in Hex. I posted some images at http://studiodubois.com/hexagon/
Questions: - The symmetry didn't always work. Sometimes changing a vertex on one side changed a different one in the mirror. Some actions were not duplicated. Is there an easy way to re- sync the symmetry? - At one point, Ideleted half of the head (took a while to select all the facets and figure out I had to use "Cut" instead of delete). Then I manually re-zeroed the vertices that strayed off the center, duplicated with symmetry and welded it back together. Please tell me there's an easier way. - The lasso and rectangle selection tools don't seem to work. - The smoothing created some weird shapes, especially around the eyes. Any way to fix that? - Any hint on how to make the ear would be appreciated.
TIA, Eric
