Back Chamfer is the bevel equivelent and is pretty straight forward to use so I won't bother explaining. Instead of deleting a surface like you did, try selecting the face and use the extract tool or just hide it and then you can either average weld or directly weld it back when you want to.. The close tool works great on the end of an open pipe for instance and stuff like that, but it won't create a major surface. Hexagon has some peculiar nuances that take time to get to know and selecting stuff is one of them.. It likes to jump from points to lines to faces right when you don't want it to. It would be cool if you could select one of them (point, line, face) and lock it down. A selection lock of some sort... I have no idea why it does that, but I seem to have gotten used to it for the most part and its not that its buggy or anything like you said, it's just finicky... It's all about doing the steps in exactly the right order for what you want to do and that takes a bit of patience to figure out. I find myself keeping my eye on the interface all at once so I can see when the little bugger switches selections on me without letting me know. I think maybe it has something to do with using full Dg or at least it is a speculation at this point and that the program likes to remember what last action you took and switches the selection back to that (edge, point, face) even though you wanted something else. Maybe Thomas or Pascal can explain it better ;) hth Steve

I have a few questions about Hex.
- Is there a bevel tool in Hex, I need to put a rounded edge on an object and I would think this would be a standard tool, it was a tool long missing in Carrara.
- Having trouble closing a polygon. I created a Tetrahedron and deleted on of the facets leaving a whole I can't close. The close tool does not work I press it and it does nothing, very frustration.
- Have any Hex user experienced the program acting goofy at time when trying to select an object at times no matter what I do the program wont select for several attempts then kicks in. It is not hung up just not working. This is very frustrating.
