Bevel: Yup. Extract Fillet (vertex) or Chamfer (surface). These are backwards
from how I think of them: In Hex, a fillet is square and chamfer is round.
Close: I have seen behavior like this, and I think it's due to not
understanding the tool. I'll get back to you once I figure out what is
happening.
Select: Maybe your selection mode is set differently than you are thinking, or
you are in the middle of another commend? Hit escape and try again.

I have a few questions about Hex.
- Is there a bevel tool in Hex, I need to put a rounded edge on an object
and I would think this would be a standard tool, it was a tool long missing
in Carrara.
- Having trouble closing a polygon. I created a Tetrahedron and deleted on
of the facets leaving a whole I can't close. The close tool does not work I
press it and it does nothing, very frustration.
- Have any Hex user experienced the program acting goofy at time when trying
to select an object at times no matter what I do the program wont select for
several attempts then kicks in. It is not hung up just not working. This
is very frustrating.
