You have 2 options.
option 1- Make sure the "animate visibility" option is turned on. Go to the
beginning of the
movie and turn visibility off for that object. Then go to the 4-second mark and
turn the
visibility on.
option 2- Go to the beginning of the movie and move the object off-screen. Then
go to
the 4-second mark and move the object to its desired position. Change the
tweener mode
to discreet to make the object jump from position 1 to position 2 instead of
moving to it.
