Back 1. No, Eovia already mentioned the Vector Style will be updated couple a couple of weeks of the DECEMBER release of C5. It will not be readied until after C5 is finalized.
2. Not that I've seen. I don't own vectorstyle, but all output that I've ever seen ignores texture maps and procedural textures. It uses solid colors as like cell-shading.
3. Vector doesn't mean smaller than bitmap. If you scenes are very complex with alot of geometery (and/or high settins for vectorstyle) then it will make extremely complex objects for everything. This can make the file size HUGE in comparison to a quicktime file. However, because it still is vector, the display size will not use quality if you enlarge it.
4. Seems very likely. Things can change drasticially in 3D. A head rotation has eyes, nose, mouth, ears that suddenly appears and disappears when they enter and leave the viewing plane. The vectors simply don't exist until they appear. So to accomidate such things the SWF files has a company of all vectors for that frame. Hencefore, you can get "big" differences in kb/mb size based solely on the frame-rate (which is why most flash animation is done at 15 frames per second).
Andrew
PS: And you last question depends on the subject, how its used and more factors. This is usually addressed again and again on a per project basis.
