True enough. Group the ball with itself (just highlight it and group), then apply the second spin modifier to the group. The first one is applied to the ball itself.

What you would have to do is to apply the spin axis to the ball, then try applying the change in rotation to the group (that contains the ball). You'd really want to do this to control the proper axis of the ball.

True enough, and it will take the shortest route *to* there, so there's little control over a rotation of more than 180 degrees.

Not sure, since I haven't played with this particular problem. You might try a formula, if possible. That would allow you to program a rotation, *IF* the rotation can be programmed.
