Back There are only a handful of animation from Carrara that I've seen. There is a mini-movie project called Rogue, that uses Carrara. There are samples of FBX imports and renders, demos of various features, and other small stuff.
However, there hasn't been any "big" publicly announced projects that uses Carrara for animation.
Until C4, Carrara had a quirky IK system. C4 improved that and included a means to root bones into places... great for walk cycles. C5 Beta adds a bone to vertex weighting and a joint orientation tool. (C3 and C4, you could control the weight of a vertex to a bone on a vertex by vertex basis unless you want all vertexes to in a group selected to have the exact same values.)
It's getting better and as the animation system improves there will be more seen. It still has a ways to go before it can be used in a production environment. For example, you cann't save an animation like a walk cycle and apply it to the same character on a different scene. It has to be re-animated. (You can import animated FBX but you can't export animated FBX from Carrara...)
