Back Have you tried exporting a .3ds file from AutoCad instead of a dxf? In AutoCad, set your preferences for the highest resolution you can in the Display tab (default is .5 I think, highest is 10) Export with each object in its own layer or the whole thing will be in one humongous mess.
The command is 3DSOUT, there are a number of options it'll ask about, you want the highest resolution it'll give. It's been a while, if you want the gory details let me know and I'll do it once to remember exactly how. Worse comes to worse, e-mail me privately and I'll try it for you.

When I double click on a object, I get the question to convert it to vertex object, I saw yes but I dont see the object.
Another problem Ive ran into, Ive made a model in autocad exported to dxf (version autocad 2000). Mak a new scene in carrara and imported the dxf file. It loads the file, as I can now see the layered objects. But I dont see the model. Why don't I see it.
