Back Not sure I understand your first question
Objects can phase in and out of a scene by increasing and decreasing the transparency of the object. Their are also dissolve and atomize behaviors which can be applied.
You can have multiple light and particle sources. The light can be seen via a light cone setting plus lights in a scene can produce a number of visual effects such as lens flares, starts, auroras, ect. Particles have just been revamped in C5 and are very impressive from what I have read. The volumetric clouds can also produce some interesting lighting effects.
I'm no expert and I'm sure others on this list will have more ideas on how to accomplish what your looking to do. Just remember that practically anything you can create in C5 you can animate. Your only going to be limited by your own imagination.

Hi
I am wondering if anyone can help me decide if Carrara is the thing for me to buy. I am looking at the demo version and have some questions : - I am into "experimental" video and need to create objects that may be bounded on one side but only virtually bounded on another. For example, a textured sphere that stands in the foreground but whose right side merges with another texture located in the background. No exact edge but just a texture when the object is rotated.
Can objects be made to fade in and out in a scene ?
Can I make a scene out of particles and light beams (as in one or more lighting sources) ?
Yeah, it's weird but I want to do that. Where would "experts" start to do this ?
Thanks for helping
Denis
