Actualy i  find  booleans operation via Hex much cleaner than Carrara but i
thought i would mention this  boolean thing anyway here..

 I've noticed a lot of talk about Booleans, here and on the Hex
 forum. Personally, I don't think Booleans are such a great way to
 model. They seem to cause a lot of problems and the meshes aren't
 predictable. There is certainly nothing that can't be modeled
 without them. I have modeled several vehicles and lots of other
 stuff and I have never used Booleans for any of it. I think your
 time is better spent learning to model without them than trying to
 figure out how to make them work right.
