Is there a soft selection in the UV Editor of C5?

Back
Been working in the UV Editor of C4P and was wondering a few details
about rather or not it's been updated in C5. Is there a soft
selection of points in the UV Editor?

And does the UV Editor have a symetery mode?

I managed to ask during the chat with Eovia and was answered that it
is now possible to split up a mesh with seams without using shading
domains.
