I have the new c5-beta and while the interface is different, it is still like "coming home". Things are a bit more organized and I feel more friendly to use. There are some 'not so apparent' interactions with the new improvement, but still not a big problem.
Im currently putting it thru the paces...and some tough hurdles indeed... and hope to post a small review of it in a few days at the renderosity carrara forum.
however, for those that are curious... my impression thus far is that this is a "serious" upgrade and is well worth the upgrade price. The particle engine alone is just a whole topic unto itself. Im pushing it VERY hard, and while I have managed to crash it...I was doing things that C was telling me not to do via message boxes. (heh)
