Hi,

You need to import the head mesh as a vertex primitive and then apply
subdivision surface at level 4 or 5 (I recommend to only change only the
rendering level since it generates 2.4 millions triangles).

Then add a texture map in the displacement mapping and open the tiff
image. You need to flip the texture vertically.

Then just change the amplitude of the displacement (something like 5 or
10 I don't remember).

The most important is not to use the subdivision algorithm in the
displacement mapping since the mesh is designed for subdivision
surfaces.

Hiya Ringo,

I happen to have that same model and map from ages ago when we were
trying to duplicate the effect using Eric's plugin.  What options did
you use when importing the OBJ, and I noticed that your texture has the
word "Flip" in it - how did you flip the texture to work?

I've been playing around with it here today and for the life of me can't
get the thing to line up correctly!
