Back Not sure what issues you were having with moving objects. Since the addition of the manipulators that isn't really an issue. And objects could easily be constrained by selecting the appropriate axis.
Skinned character movement has progressively gotten better. I saw much improvement in C4 and no in C5 its even smoother. And with the addition of render time subdivision you can animate with a low poly version and it will render out with the subdivided version without having to adjust things yourself.
